With 20+ years in the industry, Ben knows a good restaurant when he spots one, and to him Bonnie’s is the type of joint that instantly hits all the right notes — an intimate space, merch drops and pop-ups aplenty, and a menu stacked with Cantonese-American bangers, all created by a daring chef in Calvin Eng. “I think the food is A+,” Ben says of Bonnie’s. “It epitomizes what a great restaurant is today.” Amen to that, we say.
